Gorman-Rupp Company (Mansfield, Ohio — since 1933) is the world's best-known manufacturer of self-priming pumps. The portfolio runs from small portable job-site units to large pre-assembled ReliaSource pump stations for municipal wastewater plants, by way of the iconic Super T and Ultra V for wastewater with large solids, the T Series and 80 Series for clean water, SF and VS submersibles for wet wells, UL/FM fire pumps and specialized equipment for mining and construction. Their technical edge: in-place serviceability (split casing, front access without breaking the piping) and self-priming capability with solids handling up to 3–4 inches. The pump you service without disconnecting the piping
Gorman-Rupp's differentiator is not a hydraulic specification — it is mechanical design. The Super T series uses a patented front pull-out concept: remove the front cover, inspect the impeller, adjust the clearance or change the seal assembly, all without dismantling the suction or discharge piping. At municipal wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) that means minutes of intervention instead of hours — and no cranes or heavy equipment.
Super T — True front pull-out
Typical maintenance on a wastewater pump means unbolting flanges, draining lines and lifting the pump off the skid. With the Super T, none of that: one operator with an impact wrench opens the cover, inspects or replaces wear parts and closes it back up in under an hour. That is why it is the most specified municipal pump in North America.
