Signs that you need to act

If you recognize one or more of these symptoms in your plant, there is a measurable, fixable root cause. We identify it in a single site visit.

  1. 01

    A drive that keeps tripping

    Intermittent overcurrent, overvoltage or overtemperature faults. The cause is not always the VFD — it can be power quality, a badly matched load, or degradation. Professional troubleshooting avoids replacing what is not broken.

  2. 02

    Plant down with no spare parts

    Obsolete VFD with no support from the original manufacturer. If it is a current Danfoss model, DrivePro Exchange delivers an equivalent new unit in 24-48 hours subject to availability; if it is obsolete or another brand, DrivePro Retrofit replaces it with the Danfoss successor in a planned installation. It avoids days of downtime hunting for parts that no longer exist.

  3. 03

    Aging fleet with no plan

    Drives more than 10 years old run under growing risk. A Site Assessment quantifies the real condition of each drive and proposes a phased retrofit plan with a multi-year budget.

// What you get

How we help you

Concrete services, not generic ones. Every item comes with verifiable scope and documented deliverables.

01

Exchange — 1:1 replacement

An equivalent new unit in 24-48 hours subject to availability, with full warranty. For current Danfoss drives. Minimizes downtime in critical applications.

02

Retrofit — upgrade to current technology

Migration to the current family (iC7/VLT) with adaptation engineering, workshop FAT and commissioning in short windows.

03

Preventive Maintenance

PM structured in M1/M2/M3 modules according to the age of the equipment and the scope of each intervention. According to Danfoss, regular PM can double a drive's service life, and it prevents unplanned failures.

04

Genuine Spare Parts

Fans, capacitors, cards, LCPs and modules. Local stock plus direct import with a committed SLA.

05

Remote Monitoring

24/7 analysis of the health of your drive fleet. Proactive alerts before a failure happens.

06

Site Assessment

Full on-site evaluation of your fleet's condition. Prioritized report with a budget for a multi-year plan.

// Process

How we work

Every step hands something concrete to the next one. No "internal phases" without an output.

Contact and pre-diagnosis

Send us a photo of the drive plus the fault code. On WhatsApp, during office hours, we reply right away (through other channels, within 24 business hours) and tell you whether it is a field job, a workshop job or an Exchange.

02

Intervention

Technician on site with the tools (MCT 10, multimeter, thermal camera) and the likely spare parts. Live troubleshooting.

03

Report + warranty

Technical report with photos, critical parameters and recommendations. Danfoss warranty on the intervention.

// Frequently asked questions

What we get asked most

Quick answers to the questions technical teams in Panama ask us most often.

Q01 How much does it cost to repair a variable frequency drive in Panama?
It depends on the diagnosis. Simple faults (fan, control card) start at a few hundred dollars; power stack faults can be economically equivalent to an Exchange (1:1 replacement with a new unit and 100% warranty). We always quote both options so you can decide with clear information.
Q02 Do you repair VFDs that are not Danfoss?
We troubleshoot any brand, but we are the authorized service for Danfoss only. For VFDs from ABB, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Yaskawa, Toshiba and others, the most cost-effective route is usually the equivalent Danfoss unit with a turnkey migration (engineering, panel adaptation, parameter setup). We evaluate both paths for you.
Q03 Do you handle after-hours emergencies?
Yes. We keep a rotating stock of Exchange Units (new replacement drives) for the most common VLT and VACON families. For a plant that is down we reach the site the same day in the metropolitan area, and the next day in the rest of the country.
Q04 What does DrivePro preventive maintenance (PM) include?
Visual inspection, DC-link capacitor measurement, cleaning of fans and heat sinks, torque verification on connections, thermographic analysis, reading of degradation parameters and operating hours, and a report with recommendations. The modules are defined by scope and equipment age: M1 is the annual review; M2 adds fan replacement (typically between years 3 and 6); M3, the replacement of capacitors and power components (between years 6 and 17, depending on environment and load).
Q05 What is DrivePro Exchange?
An official Danfoss program: if your drive fails out of warranty, you receive an equivalent new unit in 24-48 hours subject to availability and return the faulty one. It is not a repair or a rental: it is a replacement with new equipment, without the downtime of troubleshooting and repair. It applies to current Danfoss drives (Active lifecycle phase); for obsolete models or other brands, the route is DrivePro Retrofit.
Q06 Can you do remote diagnostics?
Yes. With DrivePro Remote Monitoring plus our own DrivePulse platform we analyze the drives in your fleet 24/7. We alert you proactively about degradation (capacitors, fans, operating hours) before the equipment fails.

Is your drive failing right now?

Send us a photo of the nameplate and the fault code. On WhatsApp, during office hours, we reply right away to start troubleshooting; through other channels, within 24 business hours.
