How we help you

Concrete services, not generic ones. Every item comes with verifiable scope and documented deliverables.

01

Technical sizing

We don't sell motors off a generic catalog. We evaluate your load, utilization factor, altitude above sea level, ambient temperature and duty cycle.

02

Stock + import

Local inventory for fast replacement. Direct factory import for larger ratings, with a committed lead time.

03

Package with a VFD

Motor + Danfoss drive + filter where it applies + correctly sized cabling. One party responsible, one warranty.

// Frequently asked questions

What we get asked most

Quick answers to the questions technical teams in Panama ask us most often.

Q01 Which electric motor brands do you handle?
The main line is GE Motors: three-phase IE3 (Premium Efficiency) and IE4 (Super Premium Efficiency) motors for standard industrial applications, marine motors, drive-rated motors with reinforced class H winding, and explosion-proof motors for Class I Div 2 / Zone 2 areas. As a complement we handle Siemens and WEG equivalents for specific projects. All with NEMA or IEC certification depending on the application.
Q02 Do you keep motor stock in Panama?
Yes, a rotating stock of the most common ratings and frames (IEC 80-200, 0.75 to 30 kW, 4 poles, B3) for immediate delivery. Larger ratings or special configurations are imported directly from the factory with a 6-10 week lead time. For emergencies (a plant that is down) we arrange air freight from the regional warehouse.
Q03 Can they be used with a variable frequency drive?
Yes. Every industrial GE Motors unit is VFD compatible. For long cable runs between drive and motor (over 30 m) or for critical applications we recommend motors with class H winding and reinforced insulation to withstand the dV/dt peaks. Packaged with a Danfoss dU/dt or sine-wave filter you get the longest winding life.
Q04 Do you handle motors for explosive areas (Ex-d, Ex-nA)?
Yes, ATEX/IECEx motors for Zones 1 and 2, with Ex-d (flameproof) or Ex-nA (non-sparking) certification according to the hazard assessment. Typical applications: refineries, gas plants, fuel storage, chemical processes. It requires a detailed technical specification (zone, gas group, temperature class) before we can quote.
Q05 What is IE3 versus IE4, and is it worth paying more for IE4?
IE3 is the minimum standard for new motors in many countries (Premium Efficiency). IE4 (Super Premium) is roughly 1-2% more efficient. The economic question is the payback: a 75 kW IE4 motor running 6000 h/year can pay back the price difference in 18-30 months compared with IE3. We run the specific calculation with your electricity tariff and operating hours before recommending one.
Q06 Do you offer rewinding, or only new motors?
New motors only. Rewinding costs 1-3 efficiency points per repair cycle, and the labor does not always pay off against a new IE3 motor. For high-value motors (over 150 kW) we evaluate case by case and can arrange rewinding with certified workshops. Below that, replacement is usually the better option.
